Public House opened in 2009 and has now become the hottest bar in Denton. It was and still is Denton's only Gastropub, however the restaurant and pub at night turns into the quintessential college party place. Combining dub beats on the inside and live music on the back yard patio, Fry Street Public House seems to have it all. Now owner Byron Crain can also add festival venue the pub's roster. "This year will be our second annual Arts, Beats, and Eats which is a great event to spend a summer weekend filled with live music and other art forms," explained Public House bartender Anna Womack, UNT Dance major. "Not only will there will amazing gourmet snacks (which look like art) but Coolio will be performing as well, and if anyone can find something better to do in Denton during this, then let me know." This festival is sure to leave it's mark on the community of Denton. ![]() |
